The Gibson Brothers - Walking With Joanna

Note: The lyrics are right but the chords are not perfect. The fiddle and banjo drown out the guitar so it's difficult to hear. Playing it this way is still fun and it sounds pretty good when you sing along. Depending on your voice, you might have better luck taking off the capo and just playing A D E and B as barre chords. Have fun!

Capo 2
That makes the standard guitar chords sound like this
C = D
G = A
D = E
Am = B

G
Joanna wants to save my soul
C
Joanna wants to see me whole
G                            C
She doesn't know I'm praying too

G
I'd change my ways I'd see the light
C
for the chance to hold her tight
G                            C
There's nothing that I wouldn't do

G
But I can't get the time of day
Am
She sees me in a wayward way
C                    Am          D
A sinner man can't make her stay, hey

G
Can't change my world in seven days
C
Give me time and I'll behave
C                                        D         C
And I'll go walking with Joanna

Joanna's looking at the sky
No she doesn't wonder why
She knows the truth that's in her heart

Now if you're listening Lord I pray
Make her see me in a way
that only death can do us part

But I can't get the time of day
She sees me in a wayward way
A sinner man can't make her stay, hey

Can't change my world in seven days
Give me time and I'll behave
And I'll go walking with Joanna

solo

I haven't had a drink in weeks
I haven't hung around with freaks
I even quit those cigarettes

You know I caught her eye in church
She smiled back and my heart lurched
But nothing else has happened yet

But I can't get the time of day
She sees me in a wayward way
A sinner man can't make her stay, hey

Can't change my world in seven days
Give me time and I'll behave
And I'll go walking with Joanna
And I'll go walking with Joanna

Do you need a website for you business?

It may seem like an overwhelming process but it's not really that bad! Please read our Web Design checklist below to get started.

What you should do to prepare for a Website Design:

  1. Take some time to search the internet for websites that you really like. Look for menu bars, photography, colors, styles and organization techniques that you think acheive the look and feel you want on your website. Keep a list of the url's (www.pinelake-marketing.com) that you enjoy and next to each url explain why you chose it. Save this list and give it to your Web Designer.

  2. Create a new Word document itemizing all of the things that you WANT for your new website. For example, "My website should be green because my branding is green." of "Every picture should have the ability to enlarge the photo." Perhaps you need a shopping cart or a way to update weekly special offers yourself.

  3. Find all of the photos, logos and documents (Word and PDF) that belong on your website. If you have a CD burner, burn all of these files onto a disc that you can mail to your Web Designer.

  4. By now you will have a good idea of what you are expecting from your new website design. You are ready to discuss your options!
